The Pecan Bottom is an extension of the Roland and Viola Bindseil City Park and is located on 2nd Street behind the buildings on the south side of the square. At one time this area was known for its large pecan trees and shade. Picnics and festivals were held in this area. The Rock Wall was built by local stonemasons and the original limestone rock was held together by mortar that was locally made in one of the lime kilns of Blanco.
